Changing careers at 17 years into a job, is it realistic? - first time posting

After 17 years as an event coordinator I am thinking about moving into a different field. My family is supportive but nervous. Has anyone made a similar move?

You likely have more transferable skills than you think. Write down what you did, not what the job title said.

Try a small project in the new field before committing. It told me a lot about whether I would enjoy it.
