Changing careers at 17 years into a job, is it realistic?

I want to move from dental hygienist to something with more stability. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have good customer skills and I am comfortable with spreadsheets.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

I began with informational chats, then a short online course, then a related entry-level role. It took about 5 months.
