Changing careers at 13 years into a job, is it realistic?, customer-service rep here

After 13 years as a customer-service rep I am thinking about moving into a different field. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. My family is supportive but nervous. Has anyone made a similar move?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
