Changing careers at 13 years into a job, is it realistic? after 13 years as an accounts payable clerk

I want to move from accounts payable clerk to something with more stability. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have good customer skills and I am comfortable with spreadsheets. Has anyone made a similar move?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

You likely have more transferable skills than you think. Write down what you did, not what the job title said.
