Changing careers at 12 years into a job, is it realistic? - first time posting

I want to move from electrician's helper to something with more stability. Any experience at all would help. I have good customer skills and I am comfortable with spreadsheets. Has anyone made a similar move?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
