Changing careers at 12 years into a job, is it realistic? - 8 weeks in

After 12 years as a customer-service rep I am thinking about moving into a different field. My family is supportive but nervous. Did you take a pay cut?

Try a small project in the new field before committing. It told me a lot about whether I would enjoy it.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
