Changing careers at 10 years into a job, is it realistic? after 10 years as a nurse's aide

My layoff made me rethink whether to stay in my field. I do not usually post, so bear with me. My family is supportive but nervous. Has anyone made a similar move?

Try a small project in the new field before committing. It told me a lot about whether I would enjoy it.
