Career change after a layoff, where to begin? - what worked for you?

I want to move from retail manager to something with more stability. It has been weighing on me all week. I have good customer skills and I am comfortable with spreadsheets. How did you start?

You likely have more transferable skills than you think. Write down what you did, not what the job title said.
