Career change after a layoff, where to begin? - any advice?

I want to move from delivery driver to something with more stability. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have good customer skills and I am comfortable with spreadsheets. Did you take a pay cut?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
