Career change after a layoff, where to begin? after 8 years as a bookkeeper

Umar Castellano · 2026-05-13T18:57:16.123Z

I want to move from bookkeeper to something with more stability. I have been trying to stay organised about it. My family is supportive but nervous. Has anyone made a similar move?

I began with informational chats, then a short online course, then a related entry-level role. It took about 6 months.
