Career change after a layoff, where to begin? after 4 years as an operations analyst

After 4 years as an operations analyst I am thinking about moving into a different field. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have a little time and a small budget for training.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
