Career change after a layoff, where to begin? after 16 years as a barista

Yara Okafor · 2026-07-03T18:01:19.262Z

My layoff made me rethink whether to stay in my field. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. My family is supportive but nervous. Has anyone made a similar move?
