Career change after a layoff, where to begin? - 14 months and counting

After 8 years as a pharmacy technician I am thinking about moving into a different field. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have a little time and a small budget for training. How did you start?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 14 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
