Are certifications worth it while job hunting? - what worked for you?

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a quality inspector. It has been weighing on me all week. I am unsure whether employers value it. Is there free funding?

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.
