Are certifications worth it while job hunting? - what worked for you?

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a teaching assistant. I worked as a teaching assistant before this. I would like to use funding if possible.

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
