Are certifications worth it while job hunting? - what worked for you?

A local college offers a course that costs $1050. I worked as a home health aide before this. I would like to use funding if possible. Is there free funding?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
