Are certifications worth it while job hunting? (update)

I saw that many postings ask for a specific certification. I can study evenings. Which ones are overrated?

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.
