Are certifications worth it while job hunting? (Raleigh)

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as an administrative assistant. I can study evenings. Did a certificate help you get hired?

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
