Are certifications worth it while job hunting?, medical assistant here

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a medical assistant. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I would like to use funding if possible.

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.
