Are certifications worth it while job hunting?, mechanic here

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a mechanic. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I can study evenings. Did a certificate help you get hired?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

A hands-on course with a project helped more than a purely online one.
