Are certifications worth it while job hunting? (Louisville)

I saw that many postings ask for a specific certification. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I can study evenings. Which ones are overrated?

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.
