Are certifications worth it while job hunting?, HR coordinator here

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as an HR coordinator. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I am unsure whether employers value it. Which ones are overrated?

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.
