Are certifications worth it while job hunting? - first time posting

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a forklift operator. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I am unsure whether employers value it.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.
