Are certifications worth it while job hunting?, event coordinator here

I saw that many postings ask for a specific certification. I worked as an event coordinator before this. I am unsure whether employers value it. Which ones are overrated?

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.
