Are certifications worth it while job hunting? (Chicago)

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a pharmacy technician. I can study evenings. Did a certificate help you get hired?

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
