Are certifications worth it while job hunting? - any advice?

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a hotel front-desk agent. It has been a long 19 weeks. I am unsure whether employers value it. Is there free funding?

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.
