Are certifications worth it while job hunting? - any advice?

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a project coordinator. I worked as a project coordinator before this. I would like to use funding if possible. Which ones are overrated?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
