Are certifications worth it while job hunting? - any advice?

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a quality inspector. There are 6 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I would like to use funding if possible. Did a certificate help you get hired?

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.
