Are certifications worth it while job hunting? - any advice?

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a bank teller. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I am unsure whether employers value it. Is there free funding?

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.
