Are certifications worth it while job hunting? after 8 years as an operations analyst

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as an operations analyst. I am unsure whether employers value it. Did a certificate help you get hired?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.
