Are certifications worth it while job hunting? after 8 years as an HR coordinator

I saw that many postings ask for a specific certification. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I can study evenings. Which ones are overrated?

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
