Are certifications worth it while job hunting? after 7 years as a social media manager

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a social media manager. I worked as a social media manager before this. I can study evenings. Did a certificate help you get hired?

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.
