Are certifications worth it while job hunting? after 7 years as a logistics coordinator

I saw that many postings ask for a specific certification. I worked as a logistics coordinator before this. I would like to use funding if possible. Is there free funding?

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.
