Are certifications worth it while job hunting? after 4 years as a janitorial supervisor

A local college offers a course that costs $1200. I worked as a janitorial supervisor before this. I would like to use funding if possible. Which ones are overrated?

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.
