Are certifications worth it while job hunting? after 17 years as a security officer

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a security officer. Any experience at all would help. I would like to use funding if possible. Did a certificate help you get hired?

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.
