Are certifications worth it while job hunting? after 10 years as a social media manager

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a social media manager. Any experience at all would help. I am unsure whether employers value it. Is there free funding?

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.
