Are certifications worth it while job hunting?, accounts payable clerk here

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as an accounts payable clerk. I am unsure whether employers value it. Did a certificate help you get hired?

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.
