Are certifications worth it while job hunting? - 7 weeks in

A local college offers a course that costs $100. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I am unsure whether employers value it. Did a certificate help you get hired?

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.
