Are certifications worth it while job hunting? - 6 weeks in

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a forklift operator. I worked as a forklift operator before this. I would like to use funding if possible.

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.
