Are certifications worth it while job hunting? - 6 months and counting

I saw that many postings ask for a specific certification. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I can study evenings.

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.

A hands-on course with a project helped more than a purely online one.
