Are certifications worth it while job hunting? - 5 months and counting

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as an operations analyst. I worked as an operations analyst before this. I am unsure whether employers value it. Did a certificate help you get hired?

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.
