7-month résumé gap, advice? - first time posting

I have been out of work for 7 months and worry about the gap. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I am nervous about being filtered out. How did you handle it on your résumé?

I was hired after a 7-month gap. The manager said the skills test mattered more than the dates.
