6-month résumé gap, advice? (Tampa)

I took time out to care for a family member after working as a retail manager. Thank you in advance. I am nervous about being filtered out. Did anyone get past it?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
