6-month résumé gap, advice? after 16 years as a recruiter

My résumé shows a gap from a layoff and some health issues. It has been a long 7 weeks. I am not sure how much to explain. Did anyone get past it?

I was hired after a 6-month gap. The manager said the skills test mattered more than the dates.
