5-month résumé gap, advice? after 10 years as a recruiter

I have been out of work for 5 months and worry about the gap. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have done some volunteering and a course during that time.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

A short, honest line such as 'family caregiving' is enough for most employers. They mostly want to know you are ready now.
