14-month résumé gap, advice? after 6 years as a bookkeeper

My résumé shows a gap from a layoff and some health issues. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I am not sure how much to explain. Did anyone get past it?

I was hired after a 14-month gap. The manager said the skills test mattered more than the dates.
