13-month résumé gap, advice?

I took time out to care for a family member after working as a delivery driver. There are 4 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I am nervous about being filtered out. What do you say in interviews?

A short, honest line such as 'family caregiving' is enough for most employers. They mostly want to know you are ready now.

I was hired after a 13-month gap. The manager said the skills test mattered more than the dates.
