Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? - what worked for you?

I have been applying to about 18 jobs a week as a web developer, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I am in Raleigh, in case local advice matters. I also did a résumé workshop at the library. Do interviews and workshops count?

Screenshots of the submitted application are handy backup when a posting disappears.
