Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? - what worked for you?

I have been applying to about 3 jobs a week as a social media manager, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. My state says to keep records for a year. What do you record?

Screenshots of the submitted application are handy backup when a posting disappears.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
