Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? (update)

I have been applying to about 13 jobs a week as a data-entry clerk, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I am in Tulsa, in case local advice matters. My state says to keep records for a year. Has anyone been audited?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 7 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Screenshots of the submitted application are handy backup when a posting disappears.
